Dock Gate Events approached ECMeetings to craft a customized program for their corporate client's stay in Cascais. The envisioned program aimed to highlight the region's finest offerings, seamlessly weaving together moments of relaxation, opportunities for active exploration, and a spectacular gala and awards dinner for a truly memorable experience.
The collaboration between ECMeetings and Dock Gate Events resulted in a meticulously planned Meet-Centive program. This well-thought-out itinerary achieved the perfect balance, offering a conducive work environment amid a relaxing setting. The program featured tailored activities, networking opportunities, and dedicated time for participants to enjoy exceptional facilities, resulting in a seamlessly executed and highly rewarding experience.

Solution:
The coast of Lisbon, with its stunning beaches in Cascais and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Sintra, provided the ideal backdrop. These locations, often referred to as the Golden Triangle, are a mere 30 minutes apart. Guests arriving at Lisbon International Airport were welcomed and escorted to the luxurious 5-star Oitavos Hotel, offering breathtaking sea views in the coastal town of Cascais.
The program was designed to showcase the best of Portugal, from its stunning coastal landscapes to the rich cultural heritage of Sintra, highlighting the country's diverse offerings, and combining adventure, gastronomy, and historical exploration.
The welcome dinner took place at one of Portugal's finest seafood restaurants, elegantly perched overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The cosy atmosphere fostered a perfect blend of exquisite cuisine and informal networking.
After a productive morning of meetings, the group embarked on an adventurous 4x4 jeep expedition to explore Sintra's palaces, castles, and rugged terrain. A highlight was the off-road journey, revealing hidden gems and culinary delights in scenic hills, forests, and remote areas. A visit to a historic wine cellar for an exclusive tour and tasting showcased the unique wines produced in the region.
An evening networking dinner followed, offering panoramic views of the Oitavos Dunes golf course and the Atlantic Ocean.
The subsequent day featured an exclusive chartered catamaran, providing a relaxing morning cruise from Cascais to Lisbon. Drinks and typical local snacks were served onboard, with lunch at the Lisbon docks.

The farewell dinner unfolded in a historic fort on the coast of Cascais, creating a spectacular setting for entertainment, awards, and a gala dinner. A noteworthy element was the zero-waste table décor, crafted from local, fresh produce by our event managers and later distributed to families through collaboration with Re-Food Portugal, an eco-humanitarian charity addressing food waste and hunger.
